Catch live music, shows, and classic movies at the  McSwain Theatre, one of Oklahoma’s premiere live entertainment venues located right here in Ada.

The McSwain Theatre is a stunning historical building, originally built in 1920. 3. Revel in some old-school fun at the Star Skate roller rink.

Kick it old-school with friends or introduce your kids to skating with a night out at the Star Skate roller rink.

The Star Skate roller rink building looks unassuming from the outside, but inside you’ll feel your inner child come alive once you strap on some skates. This charming roller rink is the only indoor skating rink in Ada, which means you can still have fun skating in the middle of winter. Star Skate is very reasonably priced, for $5 to $8 per person including skate rental. They also have a concession stand and offer party and fundraiser packages.

You can find Star Skate events and specials here.

4. Combine education and fun at the Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum.

For true oenophiles (wine lovers), a trip to Waddell Vineyards in Ada is definitely in order.

The Waddell Vineyards is popular as a wedding venue, but some locals don’t know that they also offer wine sampling in their tasting room and host a number of other public events. One of their most popular events is the Sip and Swirl painting classes, which feature a local artist guiding you and the rest of the group through a fun, often seasonally themed painting all while sipping on some tasty wine.

Since Waddell Vineyards is a popular venue, they recommend that you give them a call before arriving for a wine sampling as some private event bookings may interfere. You can find everything you need to know on their website, including some of their upcoming events.
