Your Smile Really Does Make A Difference
According to previously held beliefs, the first thing we used to notice about people was their eyes. Not so today. Today the attention has shifted from your eyes to your mouth. That's right. The very first thing that people notice about you — the first thing on which they base their crucial and lasting first impression of you — is your smile …your teeth.
A flawed smile hurts your chances of a good first impression. A beautiful smile helps. And that's true whether you're smiling at a new friend, a new boss or a new love. In fact, it has been speculated that your smile has more impact on the success of your personal and business relationships than any other part of your appearance. It's more important than your hair, your breasts, your thighs, your eyes, your nose, your legs, and your clothes.
That belief is confirmed by a study in which people were asked what it is they remember most about people they meet. Over 85% said they remember people with beautiful smiles. Think about that. Over 85%! What does it mean? It means the more attractive your smile, the more likely it is that you'll be noticed, sought out, liked, and favorably remembered. It means that the more beautiful your smile, the more likely it is that you'll attract — and keep — the attention and admiration of that very special person. It means the more compelling your smile, the more likely it is that you'll get the job you want … and the promotions you deserve. It means more self confidence … an inner feeling of satisfaction … a better self-image … a sense of personal contentment and well-being.

Your smile is important. It's one of the first things you notice when you meet someone. A whiter, brighter smile is beautiful - it can help you feel better about yourself and make a memorable impression.
Your lifestyle and the aging process can stain and darken your teeth. Many things we do on a regular basis can contribute to stained teeth, such as drinking coffee, tea, cola and red wine or smoking.
Whitening can get your smile looking its best. You should look for a whitening procedure that is:
- Fast and convenient
- Long lasting
- Low sensitivity
- Proven to be safe and effective
- Performed by a Dental Professional

Orthodontics
Dr. Edwards has been practicing orthodontics on both adult and child patients since 1987. He is a member of the American Orthodontic Society, the International Association for Orthodontics, and General Practice Orthodontics. In his practice he uses both functional and fixed orthodontics. Functional orthodontics consists of retainer-like appliances that are utilized while the patient is still in the “growing stage” prior to the fixed stage. Fixed orthodontics is the bandings or braces. If you are interested in an orthodontic work-up and consultation in order to discuss the possibility of braces call (580) 332-1660.
Emergency
We recognize that emergencies do occur. Patients in our practice family with an emergency are welcome to call us 24 hours a day. We provide special priority status for you or any family member who has been seen in the previous year in our practice.
Prevention
We have centered our practice around prevention and health as opposed to one that just simply emphasizes emergency and repair care. The supporting gum tissue and bone are just as vital as the teeth. The best way to protect and maintain the crucial supporting structures for life is to have a qualified hygienist clean your teeth regularly, at which time preventive procedures can be implemented to protect your dental health. While the responsibility for returning for periodic preventive treatment lies with you, we will provide an ongoing program of health maintenance with you.
